China is a fascinating country. Whenever we think about it, most probably we are surrounded by thousands of stereotypes that not always give justice to what this country in reality is. Indeed, China has a long history and its culture has roots long back in time. The food is not all about spring rolls and rice, it’s a symphony of genuine flavours mostly coming from the countryside: fruits of all sort, vegetables that I have never seen in my life and teas with exotic smells are simply amazing. The landscapes are unique, full of green, beautifully messy and representative of a fast growing, constantly evolving culture. Be prepared to Forget about Google, Gmail or Facebook for a while, China has blocked this tool and created its own internal system, for political reasons.
During our trip we visited Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Zhuhai. We had very little, yet essential, time to taste the difference in between Mainland China and Hong Kong, which definitely absorbed part of the British mindset.
Personally, I would suggest anyone to visit this beautiful country and leave all the prejudices home, leaving your mind free of enjoying and experiencing every moment of the journey. David and I decided to take advantage of some spare time we had among business meetings in order to make some shots of the new Marigold&Roses collection.
